As selfish, materialistic and practical as we may be at times, we always need a few moments to stop and think, and re-align our purpose. Be thankful for what we have, be grateful for all that we've been given. And exercise our capability to help those who are in need.

Xinu sent me a touching e-mail about her friend, Shabbi Khan, which spoke of a son's battle to help his mother, Farhana, who is suffering from a critical form of leukaemia. They have racked up high flying medical expenses, and authorities refuse to perform the critical bone marrow transplant, until and unless funds are provided upfront. Please check out the website that he created for this purpose, at www.mymomhascancer.com. You can donate via PayPal, or participate in any which way you can. It will only take a few minutes of your time, and please give generously to this cause, in the form of funds or prayers.
