Simply Wow!

R Balki, the ad man, takes the wheel on this one. Illayaraja's music. Despite the title, this movie looks real 'sweet'.

Eeeek I saw ads for this when I went to watch Eklavya earlier this week.. it looks awfullllllllllll... that part where Amitabh starts talking about marriage and sex.. eww.... I don't want Amitabh saying SEX over and over!!!! It was bad enough in KANK! Totally distasteful.

I think its fairly trendy.

Are you basing your judgement purely on the line about sex? If you notice, almost all teasers (Hollywood or Bollywood), have sexual innuendo to appeal to a variegated audience.

Even though this movie may end up being crap, I think its an interesting direction that Bollywood is going towards - Simple romantic comedy... without all the unnecessary drama, overplayed emotion, long song and annoying dance, the 4 hours, the sobs and the violence.

Well, I think it'll be awful because as different an idea it seems in Indian cinema, the filmmakers will resort to dirty cliches for humor, as evidenced in that clip I referred to.

I think a relationship between a 60 year old man and 30 year old woman is fine for non-Indian cinema, but when you translate it over to Bollywood, it just seems really distasteful because you know for a fact that topics like these can't be handled by Indian film-makers with light-hearted maturity - they'll go straight into the raunchy and dirty (case in point KANK) to make it seem exotic - which defeats the whole purpose of this type of cinema being breakthrough.

Indian film makers are starting to talk about sex like normal people, but instead of easing into it and presenting it in movies that'll help broaden the mind of conservative India through sensitive and even humorous treatment, they like to brandish it like a sword, or in Rani's case in dominatrix style, whip and all.

I think Amitabh is seriously over-doing his doosra janam in Bollywood. I can understand wanting to break the mould, but if he starts picking up one controversial role after another he'll end up alienating half the country.

I wouldn't mind so much if it was Boman Irani or Anil Kapoor or someone else older playing the role.. but Amitabh has just gone nuts with sexually charged characters in K3G and KANK and needs to seriously stop.
