I love your new age crap. Nothing spells TACKY like tablas on a floor. That reeks of "I'm a desi so I know that this is a useless instrument I can't play so I'll make it an art piece"
I like the votive holders personally. Good pics too :)
Ok firstly, Tablas are NOT useless instruments. As 'pieces' they are tacky only if you don't know how to play them and you're using them to look cooler than you are. I'm assuming Vishal does know how to play them (since he's quite the musical genius and can play a little bit of every instrument known to man) so in his case it would be quite relevant to have them, since your home should reflect your personality and music (including classical music) is his life.
New age art and decor is fine but if everything is monochromatic (or in this case, silver) it basically means that you picked up everything that simply looked cool and, well, matched. There's nothing wrong with that but there's a lot more skill involved in putting a room together.. colors, textures, fabrics, shapes, and motifs all can be used to create flow, balance and/or contrast within a particular space..
..but I wouldn't expect you *men* to understand wth I'm trying to say here so I'll just shut up :P
